Legacy Partners has expanded into the Atlanta market with the hiring of Colin Curlee, who will serve as development manager.
Legacy owns, develops and manages tens of thousands of multifamily residences throughout the country. In June 2018, the company expanded into the Southeast by opening an Orlando-area office, led by Jon Wood, senior managing director. Legacy has since broken ground on Legacy Universal, in Orlando, and Legacy Encore, in Tampa. The communities feature a combined 578 residences. The newly opened Atlanta office, overseen by Wood, will be Legacy’s seventh office nationwide.
“Metro Atlanta is experiencing extraordinary growth accelerated by pandemic-related migration,” said Wood. “The area’s tight housing supply and strong development fundamentals are a natural fit for our expansion. We’re excited to bring our Legacy brand to the region, and Colin will help grow our pipeline of apartment projects here.”
Prior to joining Legacy Partners, Curlee worked for Urban Creek Partners in Atlanta as a development associate for over three years. In his role with Urban Creek Partners, Curlee was actively involved with the planned Quarry Yards development, a large mixed-use project that was envisioned on 66 acres of land in Atlanta. Curlee spent eight years in the commercial banking industry before joining Urban Creek Partners, holding positions at SunTrust Bank and First Federal Bank in Charleston, S.C., and Regions Bank in Nashville.
